Percy Pickett Turner Sr.

Percy Pickett Turner Sr.Born February 25, 1887 in Randolph County. Died April 27, 1968 P.P Turner was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on June 6, 1908 in Marietta Lodge 444 in Ramseur, NC. He worked in the Railway Mail Service. Admitted to Corinthian 542 on August 10, 1914. He was Master of the lodge in 1918-1919. Elected a lifetime member in 1962. P.P. Turner Lodge #746 in Greensboro was named for him. He was a certified lecturer, and the 1st Secretary of the Temple Board. Also a 33rd Degree Mason in the Scottish Rite. During World War II he was in charge of the armory that was located in the Masonic Temple Building.
