Pearlie Parker Simpson, 1900 - 1964Pearlie Parker Simpson, 1900 - 1964Brother Simpson was born September 30, 1900 and died November 28, 1964 in Stokesdale, North Carolina.  He was a graduate of Stokesdale High School.  Pearlie was an active member of Stokesdale United Methodist Church, serving on the Administration Board, and Chairman of the Building Committee.  He was active in other community activities, where he served as a Director of Stokesdale Commercial Bank, and a leader in securing a Volunteer Fire Department and an updated telephone system. 

He was owner of an automobile dealership and garage, a licensed electrician, and served as Post Master and mail carrier. 

Brother Simpson was initiated (February 27, 1925), passed (March 24, 1925), and raised (April 7, 1925) in Stokesdale Lodge No. 428, A.F. & A.M., served as Master twelve (12) times and was a life member.  He was instrumental in the construction of the Masonic Temple in Stokesdale.

He was a charter member and Past Patron of Stokesdale Chapter No. 202, Order of the Eastern Star.

A member of the Greensboro Scottish Rite Bodies and was invested with the Rank and Decoration of Knight Commander of the Court of Honor in 1961.  He was a member of the Greensboro York Rite Bodies (1964).  Brother Simpson was an Honorary Member of Revolution Lodge No. 552, A.F. & A.M.
